FAQ

Practical answers before you play.

The current answers below cover the product, event suitability, accounts and support without inventing fixed promises where the live format is still being tested.

Playing Wurder

10 answers
What is Wurder?

Wurder is a real-world social game built around conversation. Each player receives a secret target and a secret kill word, then tries to complete the contract naturally without giving themselves away.

How does a player complete a contract?

A player completes a contract by getting their target to say the assigned kill word naturally in conversation, then recording a claim through the app.

Does everyone need a phone?

Wurder works best when players have access to compatible phones. For supported event playtests, we can confirm the most practical setup for the group, including browser access where supported.

Does everyone need the app?

The current consumer experience is centred on the mobile app. For supported event playtests, we will confirm the available join setup before the event.

How do players join?

Players join using the available Wurder join method, such as a code, link or QR flow where supported for the event or session setup.

How many people can play?

Suitable group size depends on the event format and play mode. If you are organising a playtest, we will review whether the group is a good fit before confirming anything.

How long does a game last?

That depends on the selected mode, the host setup and the shape of the gathering. Wurder is designed to run alongside real conversation rather than force everyone into one rigid round length.

Can someone dispute a claim?

Yes. Claims are recorded through the app and then confirmed or disputed through the gameplay flow.

Can Wurder run in the background during an event?

Yes. Wurder is designed to sit inside the event while people continue networking, socialising and moving around the room.

Is Wurder free?

Wurder is available to download on iOS and Android. Supported playtests are currently offered free to selected events and organisations in exchange for feedback.

Events and playtests

7 answers
Which events are suitable?

Wurder is currently aimed first at networking events, community groups, university societies, parties, socials, conferences and other organised gatherings where conversation is already part of the experience.

What is a supported playtest?

A supported playtest is a reviewed event session where Wurder works with the organiser on suitability, setup and feedback rather than offering an unrestricted commercial event service.

Are playtests free?

Selected supported playtests are currently offered free in exchange for feedback.

Does submitting an enquiry guarantee a playtest?

No. We review each enquiry before confirming whether the current format is suitable for the event, group and timing.

What does the organiser need to provide?

An organiser or host, practical event details, a suitable environment for conversation, internet access and a group that fits the current playtest criteria.

Is Wurder suitable for corporate or university events?

It can be, but Wurder is not positioned only for corporate use. The same format is also aimed at societies, networking gatherings, community groups, socials and parties.

How far in advance should an organiser enquire?

Share as much notice as you can along with the proposed date. We do not publish a fixed response or lead-time promise at this stage.

Accounts and support

4 answers
Is an account required?

Account requirements depend on the route a player is taking into the experience. If you are downloading the app or joining a session, follow the current in-app flow.

How do I delete my account?

Use the Delete Account page on this site or contact the support address if you need help with the process.

Where can I get support?

Visit the support page or email hello@wurder.app for product support, account questions or playtest enquiries.

Where can I read the privacy policy and terms?

The footer and support area link directly to the current Privacy Policy and Terms pages.
