These terms apply when you use the Wurder public website, Wurder mobile app, organiser enquiry flow, or related web and game routes.

Wurder is operated by Wurder Ltd.

About Wurder

Wurder is a social game built around real-world conversation, live session play and organiser-supported playtests. The public website also includes support, legal information, join routes and download links.

Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using Wurder, you agree to these terms and to the current privacy information published on the site.

If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Eligibility and age

You may only use Wurder if you can lawfully use services like this in your location and, where relevant, with permission from a parent, guardian or organiser who is responsible for you.

This repository does not contain a confirmed universal minimum-age rule for every Wurder surface. Wurder should publish a clearer safeguarding and age position separately, especially if it intends to serve younger users or organised youth settings.

Accounts

You may need an account to use parts of Wurder.

You must:

  • provide information that is accurate enough for Wurder to operate the account;
  • keep your sign-in details secure;
  • use only sign-in methods you are authorised to use; and
  • let us know if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.

You remain responsible for activity that happens through your account unless the problem was caused by Wurder’s own failure.

Game participation

Wurder is designed to sit inside a real social setting. That means your behaviour in the room matters just as much as what happens on screen.

You are responsible for using the game sensibly and lawfully. You must not use Wurder to create unsafe, harassing, intimidating, discriminatory or reckless situations.

User names profile information and conduct

You must not:

  • impersonate another person or organisation;
  • use names, profile information or images that are deceptive, abusive or unlawful;
  • upload or use content you do not have the right to use; or
  • use the service in a way that puts other players, organisers or venues at risk.

Prohibited behaviour

You must not:

  • interfere with gameplay, hosting, join flows or account systems in bad faith;
  • exploit bugs or attempt to bypass access controls;
  • reverse engineer, scrape, overload or disrupt the service;
  • use Wurder to stalk, bully, threaten, discriminate against or harass anyone;
  • submit fraudulent event enquiries;
  • attempt to compromise data, infrastructure or security controls; or
  • use automated tools to abuse public routes or gameplay systems.

Organiser and host responsibilities

Organisers, hosts and venue operators remain responsible for the real-world setting in which they use Wurder.

That includes responsibility for:

  • venue rules and permissions;
  • participant safety and safeguarding;
  • deciding whether the setting is suitable;
  • ensuring people understand the activity; and
  • stepping in if behaviour becomes unsafe, inappropriate or unlawful.

Wurder does not take over responsibility for a venue, organiser or attendee simply because the service is being used there.

Claims disputes and in-game outcomes

Wurder records and manages gameplay actions such as claims, confirmations, disputes and outcomes through the service.

You agree that Wurder may rely on the recorded in-app or server-side game state when resolving service issues, disputes, support questions or organiser follow-up. Website copy is explanatory only and does not replace the operational rules of the live service.

Availability and changes to the service

Wurder may change, suspend, limit or remove features at any time where reasonably necessary for product development, safety, reliability, abuse prevention or legal reasons.

The service may be interrupted by maintenance, outages, provider issues, app-store changes or other events outside our reasonable control.

Free playtests

Supported organiser playtests are currently discretionary. Submitting an enquiry does not guarantee acceptance.

Wurder may accept, decline, reschedule, limit or withdraw a free playtest request at any stage.

Future paid services

Wurder may introduce paid services later. If that happens, those services may be governed by additional terms, pricing and refund information published at that time.

Nothing on the current site should be read as saying that paid subscriptions, paid event services or consumer purchases are already live unless Wurder expressly publishes them.

Intellectual property

Wurder, its branding, website content, software, session tooling and related materials are owned by or licensed to Wurder Ltd.

You may use the service for its intended purpose, but you must not copy, sell, republish or commercially exploit Wurder materials except where the law allows or we give permission.

Third-party platforms and stores

Wurder may rely on third-party services such as Firebase, Vercel, the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Those platforms have their own terms, privacy information and availability rules. Wurder is not responsible for the independent acts or omissions of those platforms.

Suspension and termination

Wurder may suspend, restrict or terminate access where we reasonably believe it is necessary to:

  • protect users, organisers, staff or venues;
  • investigate abuse or fraud;
  • respond to legal obligations;
  • preserve the integrity of gameplay or account systems; or
  • prevent technical harm to the service.

You may also stop using Wurder at any time. Account-deletion information is available at Delete account.

Disclaimers

Wurder is provided on an “as available” basis.

We do not promise that:

  • the service will always be uninterrupted or error-free;
  • every event enquiry will be accepted;
  • every feature will remain available permanently; or
  • Wurder will be suitable for every group, venue or social setting.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Subject to that:

  • Wurder is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss;
  • Wurder is not responsible for losses caused by misuse of the service, unsafe venue decisions, or user conduct that falls outside the intended rules of the game; and
  • where the law allows, Wurder’s liability will be limited to losses that were reasonably foreseeable and directly caused by Wurder’s breach.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any non-excludable rights you may have under consumer law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will remain at Terms of Use.
