A networking game that gets people talking

A room full of people. Plenty of familiar faces. Wurder gives your attendees a reason to talk to someone they might otherwise never meet, while your event carries on.

Wurder Discovery

Find someone from

Another department

Find one thing your teams could help each other with.

Example mission

Being in the same room is not the same as meeting

A coffee break gives people time to mingle. It doesn’t always give them an opening. Attendees can spend the whole event with the people they arrived with.

A shared game gives them a reason to approach, a starting point for the conversation and something to follow up. You make the introductions easier. They take it from there.

How Discovery fits your event

You shape the introductions. They play the room.

  1. 01

Choose who you want to bring together

Different departments, first-time and returning attendees, students and employers. In Discovery, you set the Participant Groups and choose missions that give them a reason to meet.

  2. 02

Give people a simple way in

Share the session QR code. Participants join in their phone’s browser, choose their group and reveal their mission. Explain the game briefly before you send them into the room.

  3. 03

    Let conversation do the work

Participants find someone from their target group and complete the mission in conversation. Scanning that person’s live QR confirms the Wurder, and a new mission follows.

A mission or a hidden agenda?

Wurder Discovery

For organisers who want conversations between particular groups. Participants receive missions and a target group, rather than a secret Wurd. You can shape the interactions around your event.

A fit for professional mixers, careers events and meeting colleagues from other departments. Afterwards, you can review participation and completed missions.

Discovery is currently available through reviewed access. Request access before planning to use it at your event.

Wurder Classic

For a social where a bit of mischief belongs in the room. Players receive a secret target and a secret Wurd. Get your target to say it naturally, then scan their live QR. They’ve been Wurdered.

A fit for informal work parties and relaxed social events where attendees are happy to play a covert conversation game. The Host sets it up through the web’s Start a game flow.

Alongside your event, in the moments made for talking

Networking evenings

Introduce the game as people arrive, then give them time to find new faces. Keep someone available to help with joining.

Conference breaks

Use arrival, lunch and the evening social for missions. Leave talks and focused sessions free of gameplay prompts.

Workplace socials

Give colleagues an opening to meet beyond their usual team. Choose a relaxed time when people have space to talk.

Plan for the room you actually have

A game needs a workable setting. Before your event, check these basics and tell us your expected numbers when you request Discovery access.

  • Phones and connection. Participants need a compatible phone browser and internet access. Try the joining and QR flow on the venue’s connection.
  • Time and space. Leave time for conversations and make it easy to find people. A busy lecture is a poor moment to start.
  • Choice. Make taking part optional. Keep an ordinary way to join the social for anyone who doesn’t want to play or cannot use the phone flow.
  • The right outcome. Completed missions show activity in the session. They don’t establish improved confidence, social skills or lasting relationships.

Give your guest list a reason to meet

Tell us who’s coming and what you want them to talk about. Start with Discovery access, or compare the options before you choose.
